WHAT IS THE ‘BEAT OF AFRICA’ ALL ABOUT?

1. Fans were asked to record and submit sounds & rhythms that best describe South Africa as part of ‘The Beat of Africa’ soundtrack.
2. Black Motion sifted through all submissions and chose their favourite sounds which would later be layered into the ‘Beat of Africa’ title track.
3. With the select sounds, Black Motion spend time in studio mixing the everyday sounds to co-create a one-of-kind album – the Ballantine’s Beat of Africa soundtrack.

Reminiscent of the penny whistle, Sicelo Buthelezi chose the recorder for his #BeatOfAfrica sound submission. We didn’t know a recorder could be so lit.
